About Me:
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Kirthiga has seen thousands of kids undergo emotional turmoil due to dental decay and pain. With a vision to eradicate dental decay, she has dedicated her career to teaching, research and treating dental decay in early childhood. She is currently serving as a faculty in charge in the CECCRe, which is Asia’s first dedicated center for Early Childhood Caries in Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Porur. She is a member of the International Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, ISPPD and IDA.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Kirthiga has seen thousands of kids undergo emotional turmoil due to dental decay and pain. With a vision to eradicate dental decay, she has dedicated her career to teaching, research and treating dental decay in early childhood. She is currently serving as a faculty in charge in the CECCRe, which is Asia’s first dedicated center for Early Childhood Caries in Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Porur. She is a member of the International Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, ISPPD and IDA.
She is trained in conscious sedation which is 100% proved to be safe for use in children. This makes her an expert to handle anxious children. In addition she has also undergone training and is been certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac life support.
She has won several awards for the best paper, poster and quiz. She has also been nominated for the BITEIN awards in 2014 and FAMDENT awards in 2018.
She has been involved as a co-author for Textbook of Pediatric Dentistry, and has been actively involved in paper presentations at National and International forums, writing articles for high impact indexed peer reviewed journals and lecturing at major dental conferences.
As a mother of one, Dr Kirthiga enjoys badminton and swimming. She also follows her passion as a part time video jockey.
